Actor Saif Ali Khan was injured after a robber barged into his and wife Kareena Kapoor’s residence at Bandra (west) and allegedly stabbed him. The incident occurred around 2:30 am on Thursday when the actor was sleeping in his house along with his other family members. Jr NTR took his social media to react to the horrifying incident that took place at Saif Ali Khan’s house at night.

Actress Pooja Bhatt called out the “lawlessness” in Mumbai after actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his Bandra residence in the wee hours of Tuesday. “We need more Police presence in Bandra. The city & especially the queen of the suburbs have never felt so unsafe before (sic),” she wrote. She also tagged Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, Ajit Pawar and Ashish Shelar, demanding their attention.

What happened?

According to IANS, the Mumbai police have detained three staff members from Saif’s household for questioning and have lodged an FIR against the intruder. Reports indicate that the intruder got into an argument with a maid, prompting Saif to intervene to protect his family. The assailant fled the scene immediately after the attack. The distressing event occurred early Thursday morning when an unidentified intruder broke into Saif’s residence in Bandra.

During the confrontation, Saif sustained six stab wounds, two of which were severe and dangerously close to his spine. He was promptly transported to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, where he is currently undergoing surgery. A medical team, led by neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, is attending to him, and his condition remains critical. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police have initiated an investigation, exploring possible leads, including the potential involvement of accomplices.
